{"id":1552,"date":"2018-01-25T15:52:48","date_gmt":"2018-01-25T13:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/studios.aalto.fi\/?p=1552"},"modified":"2018-01-26T10:15:29","modified_gmt":"2018-01-26T08:15:29","slug":"lighting-the-way-students-learn-studio-lighting-through-experimentation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/studios.aalto.fi\/sv\/lighting-the-way-students-learn-studio-lighting-through-experimentation\/","title":{"rendered":"Lighting the way: students learn studio lighting through experimentation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In Aalto Studios&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/studios.aalto.fi\/multi-camera-studio\">multi-camera production facility<\/a>\u00a0the last two weeks, <a href=\"http:\/\/elo.aalto.fi\/fi\/\">BA scenography students<\/a> are learning a new outlet for their creativity: lighting.<\/p>\n<p>Led by lecturer and professional lighting designer\u00a0<strong>Mia Kivinen<\/strong>, the students learned all about the technical side of studio lighting, and have begun to understand\u00a0just how much power a light has over a scene. But most of all, as Kivinen says, &#8221;The idea in this course is to fail as much as possible.
