Lens test

Lens tests with Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens, and Canon EF

The full frame 6240×4160 is the same with all lenses and the size of the Acorn nut is the real frame size. The simple gray rectangle was used to esimate the size of the object with the 50mm lens. The 100mm lense was 4 gray boxes and the 240 lens at max zoom was 16grey boxes overlaid so about x16 the DATA. So a 360mm zoom would be about x64 times the size + data of what we got from the 50mm lens.

The Macro lenses would actually be fine with handheld shooting as the focal point can be really close. Unfortunately mounted onto the PhotoRobot it’s not possible to bring the lenses much close, unless using a camera slider.

A probe lens would also be really interesting to try out as an alternative.
