    • From the quick and compact to the really big, we have a selection of production facilities for your projects
    • Roihupelto StudiosA 230 m2 studio with a realtime 4K Arri multicamera setup, motion capture tools and green screen at high end quality
    • Self Service StudioA ready-to-use setup for quickly capturing presentations and creating lecture materials, all wired up the University’s Panopto video service.
    • Mini StudioShoot a photo or video in a small, but very black room, with optional green and white backdrops, and a lightboard for drawing luminescent notes suspended in mid-air
    • VR StudioA 45 m2 production space with 4 VR-capable workstations and open space with current headsets from a variety of manufacturers.
    • A PodEasy-to-access pod, with great sound insulation, for podcasting, interviews and even light video recording.
    • Experimental Studio 0A large, shared art space for experimental media works, paving the way for our upcoming, new project spaces.
  • Post-Production
    • Fine tune the sound and image of your productions. From simple edit facilities to high end mastering.
    • Audio EditsDedicated to sound editing, from simple setups to high end pro workflows
    • Video EditsDedicated video editing work stations and a color grading room.
    • Audio Foley Mixing StageRecord and re-record sound in a dedicated studio, with props and effects at your disposal.
    • Audio Master Mixing StageBig desk with big screen and really big sound.

    • This is where things get real. We are used to running multidisciplinary projects and our staff’s expertise lies in performative arts and digital fabrication.
    • Aalto FablabOur open access lab is home to making almost anything using computer aided design, digital fabrication, electronics and programming.
    • Costume WorkshopDedicated spaces for costuming, sewing, dyeing, surface elaboration and fitting, alongside a diverse wardrobe for your projects.
    • Set Design WorkshopA multipurpose space with wood and metal working tools, a painting area, empty floor space for erecting sets and rigging for experimenting with lighting.
    • Atelier, classroom 377A teaching space next to our workshops for e.g. small scale painting, scale modelling and working with material manipulation techniques.

Harald Herlin Learning Centre joins Aalto Takeout

Aalto Takeout, the centralized equipment lending service developed at Aalto Studios originally to manage our own equipment, adds a new member location.

We welcome the Harald Herlin Learning Centre, who will be adding iPads and other resources for pickup at the info desk.
