MAGICS Talks

Thursday 10.4.2025 at 16.30-17.30 | Marsio, Otakaari 2 & Online.

In the first event of the MAGICS Talks series in 2025, we’ll be delving into digitally augmented clothing and costumes: How garments can transform into interactive, data-rich experiences capable of monitoring our well-being and amplifying artistic expression.

We have two distinguished guests who are pioneers in making these visions a reality: Professor Yu Xiao, leading the Wearable Systems Lab at Aalto University and Professor Sofia Pantouvaki, director of the Costume in Focus research group at Aalto University. The presenter of the event is journalist Sonia Zaki, Uusi Juttu.

This event is hybrid. Link to event stream.
