The best audio and video experience on campus, used for events, teaching and production screenings. Marsio Cinema is a full-fledged movie theatre with 150 comfortable seats, high quality 4K laser projection, a Dolby Atmos system based on Meyer speakers, and a set of Panasonic 4K cameras for streaming events.
We’ve built it flexible for all kinds of uses–not only film viewings. Think Aalto TED Talks, doctoral defences, e-sports games or virtual acoustics demo events by the Aalto Acoustics Lab. The space connects to our production network and lets, for example, our ABL behavioural measurement labs study viewer reactions via sensors embedded in the seats. A great place for media, science and beyond.
