The Sound Laboratory is a high-end audio production and post-production facility designed for a wide range of sound design, mixing, and recording applications. Equipped with professional-grade hardware and software, the space supports advanced workflows for both individual and collaborative projects.
Users can work on the Aalto Studios post-production network (Nexis F5) or use local storage. The facility is also connected to Aalto Studios’ sound recording floors, allowing seamless integration with other production spaces.
Equipment
The laboratory features a Mac Studio M2 Ultra with 128GB RAM, connected to a 6.1 Genelec surround sound system. The speaker setup is managed through a DAD AX Center audio interface, with additional connectivity provided by an RME Dante Digiface for integrating external systems.
Installed software includes:

• Pro Tools
• Audacity
Access and booking
