Self Service Studio
A ready-to-use setup for quickly capturing presentations and creating lecture materials, all wired up the University’s Panopto video service.
Easy-to-access pod, with great sound insulation, for podcasting, interviews and even light video recording.
Shoot a photo or video in a small, but very black room, with optional green and white backdrops.
Create lecture videos while writing and sketching full screen, in luminous lines suspended in mid-air
Remote Teaching Studios
Video conference in peace, with good light, sound and a green screen.
A 45 m2 production space with 4 VR-capable workstations and open space with current headsets from a variety of manufacturers.

Dedicated to sound editing, from simple setups to high end pro workflows

Audio Foley Mixing Stage
Record and re-record sound in a dedicated studio, with props and effects at your disposal.

This is where things get real. We are used to running multidisciplinary projects and our staff’s expertise lies in performative arts and digital fabrication.
Our open access lab is home to making almost anything using computer aided design, digital fabrication, electronics and programming.
Dedicated spaces for costuming, sewing, dyeing, surface elaboration and fitting, alongside a diverse wardrobe for your projects.
Set Design Workshop
A multipurpose space with wood and metal working tools, a painting area, empty floor space for erecting sets and rigging for experimenting with lighting.
Atelier, classroom 377
A teaching space next to our workshops for e.g. small scale painting, scale modelling and working with material manipulation techniques.

AV Production Service
When planning to produce audiovisual content, take a moment to pre-plan a roadmap and find resources with our AV production experts first.
Borrow a camera, or ten. And lights and mics and VR headsets and all the things for your media production. If you’re unsure of what more to get, sit down with our equipment experts to figure it out.
Aalto Digital Creatives
Get help from Aalto Startup Center’s business advisors and our creative industry experts on your journey towards entrepreneurship in the 12-week pre-incubator program. The program runs twice a year.
