Our building at Otakaari 7 was suddenly packed yesterday when the new Aalto students were getting to know Aalto Studios as part of their orientation program. They were introduced with our services, production facilities, workshop studios and venues.

They were delighted to hear that they can borrow equipment for their projects or get personal assistance with any Internet related matter, while eating biscuits of course! Many of them were eager to find out how they can use our services. Karina Flores from the Wood program in School of Arts, Design and Architecture was fascinated about the cross-disciplinary opportunities Aalto Studios has to offer.

”The idea of being able to come here and work on a project sounds really good. I am looking forward to use the services and resources available, especially all the spaces with machines that enable me to work with wood!”

She was also interested in getting help with things related to communication and that’s exactly what we are here for, from sewing studio to internet communication design and VR. We provide resources from actual to virtual. We’re really looking forward to work with all of you. We hope to see you already this autumn, as soon as we get everything ready!
