We are looking to hire a communications trainee for Aalto Studios, the new Media Centre at Aalto University, for this autumn. The position is well suited for communications and media students looking for industry placement as part of their studies.
The job consists of creating written material and taking photos for use in our day-to-day communications, through our web site and social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and others. Depending on the skill set of the applicant, producing other media such as graphic design, video material, sound recordings and VR content can be pursued.
On occasion, the job can include event related functions, such as providing information and guidance to visitors.

We expect a good command of written English, a motivation to pursue stories for reporting and a general curiousity towards new channels of communication. While the job centers on our Otaniemi location, it will also require some amount of travel within the Helsinki region.
