Aalto Studios participated in the School of Arts, Design and Architecture (ARTS) Eloseminaari 2017 at Gumbostrand Konst & Form in Sipoo about the One Campus project. It’s exciting times for the whole Aalto University when the new center of Otaniemi, the Väre building, is becoming more and more tangible.
We discussed about the development of Väre and about turning Otaniemi campus into a unique collaboration hub where academics, students and companies can meet and create together. There were some great ideas brainstormed in an orienteering game, some of which included a social campus application that would tell you in real time what’s happening at Aalto while you’re walking around the campus. However, most inspiring was that we got to meet and network with other fantastic Aalto people!
”There is a huge change happening at Aalto which shows that the university believes in this project. Even though we don’t really know where we are going to end up with, new connections were made today”, Marcus Korhonen, Chief operating Officer at Aalto Studios, summarised at the end of the seminar.
