AV Assistant for Aalto Studios

We are looking to hire a responsible and active person to take care of AV-equipment and facilities at Aalto Studios.

Aalto Studios maintains AV-studios and develops research and education is the field of media. We organize events, produce AV-services and is active in the international community of AV-professionals.

AV-assistant’s tasks will include AV-equipment maintenance, customer assistance in renting and using the equipment, equipment storage maintenance, video and still image photography and a variety of other tasks. The employee will interact with students and staff daily. Due to our international environment, fluency in written and spoken English is a necessity.

Requirements:

  • Friendly customer service attitude
  • Punctuality and flexibility
  • Self-motivation
  • Good knowledge on AV equipment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Good IT skills
  • Driver’s licence (B)

 

We view education (AMK or equivalent) and reasonable housing expenses of an applicant as advantages.

Fab Lab Assistant

We are looking to hire a responsible and active person at Aalto Studios’ Fab Lab.

Aalto Fab Lab is workshop where people can fabricate items digitally, by transforming bits into atoms. Fab Lab’s services can be used by anyone in the Aalto-community, but also outside partners are welcome to use it. Fab Lab also organizes events, produce AV-services and is active in the international community of AV-professionals.

Fab Lab assistant’s tasks include guiding users of the workshop, maintaining machinery and facilities, and a variety of other assistant task. The employee will interact with students and staff daily. Due to our international environment, fluency in written and spoken English is a necessity.

Requirements:

  • Friendly customer service attitude
  • Punctuality and flexibility
  • Self-motivation
  • Knowledge and skills on digital fabrication (3D printer, laser cutter, cnc cutter, electronics)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Good IT skills

 

We view education (AMK or equivalent), previous work experience in similar tasks, and reasonable housing expenses of an applicant as advantages.
