This August 25th 2025 release brings multiple permit support, letting you assign different ways for people to access an item. We’re also in the process of an adding richer organizational data in the background, to help direct resources based on schools, departments and units in a more concise way. This is most visible in the User Settings menu, where your current permits are now listed.
We also added plentiful meta-data to items as we’re working toward agent support via MCP, in other words asking your favorite AI about the availability of spaces at a given time.
Features and fixes:
- Multiple permit support and organizationally auto-generated permits
- Added a permit option to allow reserver names to be seen among all permit peers. (No Control Panel UI, available upon request)(Acoustics Lab)
- User name can be self edited for presentation
- Richer schema-data and social sharing images to help bots, crawlers and AIs.
- Location shortcut URIs shown in location popup cards
- In item browser, lonely top-level categories are omitted (Aalto Fablab > Spaces > Digital Fabrication becomes Aalto Fablab > Digital Fabrication)
- Spaces given a little more priority in search results
- Added an item edit link for admins in item card views (works only for your default location, if you admin many)
- Added a small delay to activating sign-in submit button to prevent Safari from automatically submitting auto-filled email before the user has a chance to consider ‘remember me’
- Fixed bundled items in lists showing only the first items specifier text to ‘multiple items’
- Fixed reservations not being shown outside the reservation window
- Fixed collection image uploading
- Fixed items with identical names at different locations sometimes bunching up when adjacent in inventory
