This quick guide provides a short tutorial on how to use the Self Service Studio
- On entering the self-service studio, turn on the “Video Lights” and “Monitors” switches to activate the studio mode.
- Log on to your computer with your Aalto ID
- Adjust the Prompter to the appropriate height using the “Prompter height” switch
- Use the Stream Deck control to adjust the angle of the robot camera to your liking
- Paste your text or upload a text file to the Power Prompter program or the web-based OBS Teleprompter program.
- To capture, log in to the Panopto web-based program with your Aalto user ID and click “+ Create” and “Panopto Capture”.
- In the Panopto capture view, select which screens and windows you want to capture separately, in addition to the robot camera, and change the recording quality from low (SD) to high (Ultra HD) in the Panopto settings. You are then ready to make the recording.
- When the recording is complete, the file will be automatically saved to your Panopto account. If you prefer, you can also save the file to your favourite cloud service or to your own hard drive.
- When you exit, do not turn off your computer, but log out as your user. When you log out, all files stored on your computer will be deleted. If you have not transferred your files to a cloud or your own storage media, they will be deleted.
